Why Hiddink Wants Drogba At Chelsea As Assistant Coach

Chelsea legend, Didier Drogba could become one of the coaching assistants at Stamford Bridge as interim manager as Guus Hiddink has disclosed he wants to include the Ivorian in his crew.

Hiddink who was on the stands where Chelsea thrashed Sunderland 3 – 1 was employed to stand-in for sacked manager, Jose Mourinho

The Dutchman was seen seated in a private box alongside Drogba and Chelsea owner, Roman Abraomvich.
According to Fox Sports, Hiddink posited that Drogba is still very much needed at the London club.

He said: “We would like to get him involved. But he still has a contract with Montreal in the MLS, even though it is the close season for them now.

“But we definitely intend to get him involved. We want to get important players involved with the club they care about. Drogba’s heart is with Chelsea.”
